Starting Fresh

Hi. I’m Ashley, and this is me starting over a little.

I wanted this blog to feel like stepping into my studio on a quiet morning — wood stove warming up, paintbrushes in a jar, lake air drifting in when I crack the door open. Nothing fancy. Nothing forced. Just real life, real art, and whatever piece of the island is speaking to me that day.

Fall But Once has grown and changed with me, and it feels right for this space to grow too. I wanted a place where I could share things honestly — what I’m creating, what I’m learning, where my inspiration comes from, and the little magical moments that show up when I’m paying attention.

Here’s what you can expect:

🌿 A lot of nature.

The ferry mornings, the foggy days, the wildflowers that show up like old friends. The small shifts in the woods that somehow shift me too.

🎨 Inside the studio.

New textures I’m trying, colors I’m obsessed with, what I’m making for classes, and the pieces that surprise me by becoming something totally different halfway through.

🌙 Little bits of magic.

Not heavy or dramatic — just the simple things that help me stay grounded… tarot cards that hit at the right moment, an energy shift, a reminder to breathe.

💛 Real life.

No gossip. No drama. Just the truth of being one person running a business, making art, helping others, and trying to keep things gentle and steady when life gets loud.

I guess this is just my way of saying:

I’m here.

I’m creating.

And I want this space to feel like a soft place to land — for me, and for anyone who finds it.
